He always seemed like a great guy. The Del-Lords were doing their Monday night residency at CBGB's when my band the Mundanes was a monthly act at the club. Later I had this LA sighting. I will never forget coming to the register at Amoeba Records Hollywood with my pile of vinyl and finding myself face to face with a smiling Scott behind the counter. True lover of rock and salt of the earth guy.
Rob... that was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for including the bit from my press release. I don't know if you saw my facebook post, but like you, it's smeared with tears. It took about 10 minutes to write the press release (done hours before he passed) and almost 10 times as long to write my post, a day after he was gone.
I was privileged to be at his side as often as I could make the trek up to CT, but nothing prepared me for saying the final farewell to my blood brother. All the best to you, Rich
